09:00-10:15 Course Open for warm up
10:30 KNBC All racers start
1130 Hot dogs over bonfire at Snowshoe trail start (skiathlon transition
area)
Jackrabbits free but must pre-register with coach August
Cost; $10 entry plus day pass if you are a non-member
10km skate course 2xTwo Tower’s, Matoo’s, Jackrabbit counterclockwise,
Matoo’s return and lap in stadium at trail exit. This means there will be a
figure eight in the racecourse, skiers descending off Matoo’s onto
Jackrabbit will have right of way-look to your right coming out of Jackrabbit.
10km classic course: Straight out Frank Symond’s onto Jackrabbit
clockwise until you turn left onto Red Fox, climb out of Red Fox turn right
onto Jack Rabbit and right onto Green Spruce. Ski Todd’s Traverse and
Panorama (NO WALDY’s!!). At the bottom of Panorama at the STOP sign
turn right and ski Green Spruce, this will take you to the top of Panorama
again. When you get to the STOP sign a second time turn left and descend
onto Jack Rabbit keeping right to ski Jack Rabbit counterclockwise. Climb
up to Matoo’s return and finish in the stadium. We will provide every classic
racer with a mini-map of the course along with these instructions. There will
be directional signs at each junction.
Cookie racers: Cookie stations will be located at multiple spots throughout
the course. Jackrabbit coaches will guide groups on age-appropriate loops
along Frank Symonds to Matoo’s return. For the Finale: ski back into the
stadium and go the the Nordic Terrain Park near the wax hut for more
cookie stations and skills play with your coaches.
